It is still winter around here and unfortunately we won’t be able to hit any of our beaches or pools in the Midwest anytime soon! We can however go on vacation! Are you planning a winter get away to escape the cold or planning a spring break beach vacation? We have been dreaming about packing up our families and heading to the beach for a little R&R! If you have little kids, like us I am sure you are concerned with protecting their beautiful skin from the sun. Our families spend a lot of time outside and enjoy a lot of time at the pool and beaches every summer. Unfortunately, I have very fair skin and freckles, protecting my kids skin is a priority for me. Every spring when swimwear starts hitting the stores, I always pick up a couple of UV protective shirts for the kids to wear throughout the summer. One complaint I have always had is that once this swim shirts are wet they are super hard to take off! I connected with the creator and owner of SwimZip on twitter and was happy i did! Betsy (who happens to share my name) was diagnosed with skin cancer at the young age of 26 years old. Since being diagnosed she made it her mission to educate kids on the dangers of UV rays. SwimZip was the created on the beach with her brother! They were discussing how hard it was to get her nieces swim shirt off and 2 months later SwimZip was born! We love that the SwimZip shirt is not only easy for us to get off but our kids can take it off themselves as well. Most swim shirts we come across are pretty basic and boring but theses shirts are actually stylish and cute! Kids will actually be happy to put the SwimZip shirt on and hit the pool and beach! Are you planning on heading on a beach vacation anytime soon?
