Tie Dye Party!

This past weekend. my five year old daughter made her theatrical debut in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!  Ellie was in the Children’s Choir and sang and danced her way through the entire show.  The Drama Group created a wonderful experience for all of the kids including a Tie Dye Party to make their own shirts as costumes for the show.

While Tie Dying is so much fun, it also can be a total mess which is why having hosts come with all of the shirts tied up and ready to go is so appealing.  The dye was in plastic condiment bottles which made for easy and mess free squirting.  If there is not a local company in your area, pre-tying the shirt, having plastic gloves and aprons and the dyes in easy to squeeze bottles can make a tie dye party easy and fun for your next event!

How did their shirts come out for the show?  Totally groovy, baby!  All of the 28 kids ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade rocked it in the Children’s Choir and the tie dye shirts looked great on stage.  Here are a few photos from getting ready to snap the cast photo, back stage and fake crying during “One More Angel in Heaven.”

After the first show – could not have been more proud of this girl!
