My cousin Peter Thompson is a photographer and for the second year he held Portraits to Fight ALS in Chicago last weekend. This event is close to my heart as my father passed away from ALS almost 5 years ago. Portraits to Fight ALS is a perfect event to get your family holiday photo's while giving to a great charity! The photo shoot takes place at the very cool Hedrich Blessing Studio. Since they use a white back drop, I wanted the kids outfits to pop, so I chose red & gray for Mia and light blue, denim and a fun tie for Dylan in order to coordinate their looks.

I always get stressed a few days leading up to our family photos that our kids won't behave or someone will refuse to wear the outfit I chose for them. Dylan refused to nap on the way down to the city and Mia didn't want to wear the adorable gap shorts I picked out for her.  In the end they were happy to have their pictures taken by cousin Pete!

We couldn't be any happier with how the photos turned out! Peter was able to capture our crazy families personality and now I am excited to create our Tiny Prints holiday cards!
