This weekend officially kicks off the holiday season in Chicago and our Saturday is jam packed with FUN! chicago toy and game fair

First we are headed to the 10th Anniversary of the Chicago Toy & Game Fair held at Navy Pier.  This is our first year attending as a family but we are all so excited to check out the newest toys and games just in time for the holidays.  There is a Star Wars Lunch, costumed characters, Radio Disney Live crew, Young Inventors contest plus much more.  We can't wait to spend a day at play!

Then Saturday night it's the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Parade!  I have attended this parade every year (except for maybe one or two in college) since I was in 5th grade.  It began as a few floats driving quickly down Michigan Avenue and now is packed with your favorite Disney characters and entertainers.  If you are near Pioneer Court earlier in the day, the stage will be filled with Justin Roberts, R5, the Radio Disney Crew and lots more.

Then when the sun goes down the party really gets started!  Beginning on the North end of Michigan Avenue and heading toward the river the parade rolls down the street with Mickey and Minnie lighting the way.  Don't worry about the chill, just swing by the Disney Store and pick up a few items to blend in with the fun and stay toasty warm!

The Disney Store has "light chasers" that make a night time parade even more fun, ears and all of the cold weather accessories a Mouseketeer could need!

What are your weekend plans?
