We moved into our house almost 7 years ago, at that time Mia was a baby. I remember decorating her room like it was yesterday. We upgraded her crib to a big bed and new bedding several years ago. For about the last 6 months, Mia has expressed to us that she would like to change the paint and décor. I honestly didn't know if I was ready for the change. I think I am a little nostalgic for her baby room. Recently I had the opportunity to participate as a Disney Paint Mom and decided that this was a perfect time to change up Mia's room! Mia was beyond excited when I told her she could choose the color of paint for her room. We headed off to our local Walmart to check out the new line of Disney Paint by Glidden!
Mia and I both loved all of the Disney paint choices that we found at Walmart. The great thing about these paints is they are designed to give your child options at every stage of life, from infant to tween! As a mom I love that the paints have low odor and no VOC's. I was always worried about letting Mia pick out the color herself but with the Disney paints by Glidden, I felt confident that no matter what color she chose it would be the right one!
Mia loved all of the 5 speciality finishes especially All That Glitters and Speck-Tacular. I can't wait to use the Great Slate in our playroom. It makes me happy that the paint is a premium-quality, ultra-durable that was formulated with your child in mind to withstand wear and tear, as well as repeated scrubs and washes. Living with 2 kids, this is a must!
It was a hard decision but in the end she chose...Air Kisses!
It is really important to me that at this age that I give Mia independence and let her make the majority of the design choices for her bedroom. I want her to love spending time in her room playing, reading and having a friend over. We are having fun planning her room together and can't wait to show her design choices next! Stay Tuned!
