I am thrilled to tell you more about the bohemian chic, vintage-inspired clothing line called Pink Chicken. Pink Chicken carries clothing for babies, kids, and moms, all designed by Stacey Fraser. Stacey started her own clothing line in 2006 after being inspired by her two daughters and spending 15 years designing for Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and BabyGap. Pink Chicken is available online and in top retail stores like Barney's New York, Neiman Marcus and Fred Segal/Ron Robinson as well as at PinkChicken boutiques on Madison Ave. and in the Hamptons. Pink Chicken has also been spotted on the daughters of Gisele Bundchen, Halle Berry, Katie Holmes, Nicole Richie, Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Garner, Alyson Hannigan, and many others.

To get to know Stacey Fraser on a more personal and professional level she was kind enough to answer some of our questions that we had for her.

When it comes to designing a new collection where do you find your inspiration? Your pieces are so unique and full of beautiful colors and designs.

We all love vintage textiles here at Pink Chicken and also find indian colors and block printing so inspiring. We have piles and piles of old fabrics and wallpapers we dig through each season. We also love to look what the high-end designers are doing, always so inspiring!

What article of clothing do enjoy designing most? I read you recently released a Tween line. Your girls must have the most fashionable closest!

Definitely dresses. We started pink chicken with just 3 printed dresses, and they have been the core of our line to date. Little girls love dresses and we love to think of fun new ideas we know they will love. My 7 year [Sadie] old still loves our dresses and happens to be one of our samples sizes so yes, her closet is packed. My 11 year old daughter Belle, is a bit more picky. . . She has been such an inspiration for the tween line - she tells me what she and her friends will like.

What are you some of your proudest mom moments?

My kids make me proud every day. I can't believe what wonderful little creatures they are. . . They're humble and surprise me every day.

Being a designer what is your favorite go to outfit?

I have to say 98% of the time you will find me in a dress and flip flops :) easy and breezy. I do admit though i do love to get dressed up every now and then. . . even in a dressier outfit i always go for print and color!

Do you any must have's that should be on every mom's back to school shopping list?

We have some really great back to school looks for girls, like our best selling Elle dress and twirly skirt, made with amazing flannel gingham check fabric, also corduroy staples and you can't forget the Josie knit pant with graphic or printed top. Our stores are also stocked with fun glitter pens, markers and printed notebooks!
