Our family has a holiday tradition that goes back to when I was in Middle School. Each year we cheer on Michigan Avenue as the lights are lit during the Magnificent Mile Festival of Lights and watch the parade with our favorite characters, holiday balloons and magical floats. Then after our toes are finally warm again, we spend the night at our favorite downtown hotel and visit Santa in Santaland the next day followed by lunch by the Great Tree. To really get in the holiday spirit, we always pack the girls' Christmas pajamas to wear at the hotel. This year, after much careful consideration by my six and four year olds, they selected matching red fleece monogrammed night gowns from Chasing Fireflies.
From the second the put the nightgowns on, they could not believe how soft they felt. Madeline made us rub her arms and her back over and over and tell her how soft she felt. And did I mention they look really cute?
Betsy's family holiday tradition is picking a musical or play that we want to see during the month of December. Sunday we will be heading into the city to see Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer musical at Emerald City Theatre. When searching for the perfect Christmas pajamas from Chasing Fireflies the kids both loved the idea of matching each other and we know those days are numbered. Of course Rudolph was the perfect fit for this year! Dylan wants to wear his pajama's to the musical. Good luck getting him dressed the day of the show, Betsy!
Thanks to Chasing Fireflies for providing the pajama's for this post. All opinions are honest and my own.
