The winter is an easy time to be less active. It's so tempting to snuggle on the couch all day and forget to get that blood flowing. Noelle Pikus-Pace, skeleton racer, has a great way her and her daughter stay active indoors!
Madeline, my four year old, has a strong love of yoga. And she's pretty good at it. Now that I'm due with baby #3 in about a month and a half, yoga is one of the best ways we can still stay active indoors together.
Yoga for children is a great way to keep them active and flexible. We have found several books and short videos to guide us through yoga poses that are age appropriate. We have the best time doing poses on our own and also working on some together.
After all of that exercise we always need a snack. Our go to is Kellogg's Special K. Madeline likes hers dry but I prefer it topped off with ice cold milk. It's the perfect way to chat about all of the fun we just had fill our tummies.
