I found some fun ones that are perfect for the kids for an afternoon snack after school or a quick on the go breakfast! Peach and Banana Smoothie the flax seeds are a great source of Omega-3 which supports brain development. Flax is also a great source of fiber helping aid digestion to keep your little one regular.
Berry Brainy Blizzard Smoothie, the ingredients of this smoothie include blueberries, avocado, wheat germ and almonds. Blueberries are said to improve learning capacity and motor skills; the healthy fats in avocado are to improve blood flow to the brain and the oleic acid in avocados supposedly help our brains process information faster; wheat germ is a source of choline, a neurotransmitter that boosts memory and contains vitamin E and some omega 3s; Almonds are to help boost alertness and improve memory.
Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie is a great for breakfast. Oatmeal is a great source of fiber and protein and also fills you up! This is a vegan recipe but is delicious for anyone! In the recipe it includes white sugar –I’d substitute agave or honey or even maple syrup. Check it out!
Orange Creamsicle Smoothie is not only delicious and has a good amount of protein in it which is great for picky eaters. Tastes just like a creamsicle!
