It's holiday card portrait time! This year we supported Portraits to Fight ALS and for a donation received a fun photo session with Chicago photographer, Peter Thompson. The big question of 'what will we wear for pictures?' was the first thing out of our mouthes once our time slots were secured. Luckily the girls outfits were easy because we had just discovered the cutest brand, Poppy England!
Poppy England is a brand out of London that specializes in 'storybook dresses for women and girls.' There is so much to love about Poppy England - the great color combinations, beautiful prints, and ability to mix and match to name a few - but what really stands out is how age appropriate the clothing is for girls 10 and under.
I love so many of the prints and styles from Poppy England that narrowing it down to coordinating looks was a little bit of a challenge. It's a good thing we have three opinionated mini fashionistas to help with the hard work.
Mia is loving red and blue these days and anything that twirls is an added bonus. She paired her red petticoat and polka dot tights with a chambray shirt and cream sweater from her closet. The result is an adorable look that shows of this fun girl's personality.
Madeline is super sweet. Her pearl headband and lace cammi from her closet paired great with her Poppy England raspberry cardigan and cream London skirt. She loved the structure of the skirt and felt like a princess in her outfit.
Ellie loves a sash. Maybe it's because she's been a flower girl three times, but if there is a gorgeous dress with a sash she's calling dibs. Her gold heart locket was a gift from her Auntie and new Uncle for dropping petals a little more than a month ago. With a gold headband and her ruby red slippers she's ready to celebrate the holidays!
It's so fun to take pictures with friends. These girls love each other to pieces and it shows. Their looks are coordinated but not match-matchy. We urge you to not be afraid of prints when taking pictures. Show off your family's personality, and remember we're always here to help!
