If you've been born in the last 75 years you are a March of Dimes baby. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. I'm born to be a mom. I've wanted to have kids as long as I can remember. I've always loved babies and having a family with three children was my dream.
My middle, Madeline, had low amniotic fluid. Thanks to prenatal care and screenings, we realized this early on and we monitored fluid levels for weeks before the doctor made the decision to induce at 37 weeks. It's terrifying to think about what the outcome could have been had we not known the fluid levels but thanks to March of Dimes work over the last 75 years, we didn't have to. Madeline was the sweetest little baby and we just can't imagine life without her.
Madeline was born to dance. She was born to be goofy and make everyone around her smile. She was born to be a big sister and a little sister. She was born to sing, love superheroes and accomplish many great things.
We just celebrated Mother's Day and Father's Day is on the horizon. The March of Dimes ImBornTo partners are donating part of their profit to March of Dimes so they can continue their great work. Don't let dad down this year, get him a great gift that also supports a great cause!
#ImBornTo partners include Martha Stewart, Alex and Ani, Mudpie, Kmart, Blue Rhino, A&E Jewelers and Bon-Ton. To learn more about the #ImBornTo campaign, visit http://imbornto.marchofdimes.org/ Help all babies realize what they're born to do.
