There's a book that's getting a lot of buzz lately.  A book that makes a bold promise - it can put your kid to sleep. the rabbit who wants to fall alseep

Daddy does Will's bedtime and he was excited to see what would happen when reading this book.

The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep uses a few innovative techniques to lull your child to dreamland. Some phrases are typed in bold, some are italicized to slow down or emphasize speech.  The child's name is also used in the book and there are pauses for yawns.

Will seemed to be really calm until he saw a wizard in the book.  The wizard was a little exciting apparently but after he recovered, he snuggled in for more of the story of the rabbit with the same name who liked to do the same things and couldn't fall asleep.the rabbit who wants to fall asleeBecause Will is still in a crib, we read in the chair, then put him in to bed.  We think this book would work even better for children who are a little older where the parent could lay next to the child and not have to transfer.  But even with the transfer, here was the scene on the video monitor a few minutes later.
