The Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is the newest hotel property that makes up Universal Orlando Resort. The hotel has a great lobby, a water taxi and walking path to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure, restaurants, concierge, pool and gift shop. But here are our 5 favorite things about Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.

1. The Pool

The pool is fantastic. The middle is zero entry which is perfect for babies and toddlers or sun bathers who just want to get a little cooled off. Packed with beach balls, there is live steel drum music during the day and movies shown on a big screen at night.

Life jackets are provided at no charge and if your child is under 48", they will need one for the super fun water slide. Lounge chairs are plentifully and rest on white sand while cabanas are available for rent. There are bars poolside as well as a full service restaurant. All you need is your room key and you can charge food and drinks to the card on file!

2. The View

If you want to get excited about your day at Universal, all you need to do is look out the window at Sapphire Falls!

The picture above was snapped from the elevator bank as we walked to our room the first time. If you didn't have a park view, you had a pool or water view. The kids loved to wake up every morning and see Islands of Adventure!  Which leads to number 3.

3. The Proximity to the Parks

Sapphire Falls is a less than 10 minute walk to Universal Orlando, Islands of Adventure and City Walk. If you aren't in the mood for a stroll, you can hop on the water taxi that comes every 15ish minutes and drops off at City Walk.

For transportation to the newest theme park, Volcano Bay, there is a shuttle bus pick up stop right outside. The ride on the Volcano Bay shuttle felt like two minutes. It was super fast and easy.

4. The Lobby

The Sapphire Falls lobby is playful and elegant. Besides checking in and out, you can buy park tickets and store your luggage after check out.

There is plenty of space to hang out and relax but the best part for our family was the Dutch Trading Co. restaurant and gift shop. The restaurant had hot food to go all day but it was also stocked with all of the kid essentials from milk to gogurts to cereal. Ice cream, desserts and donuts are also plentiful while there is also a cooler of beer and wine for the grown ups. It was nice to be able to stock up on essentials to keep in your room.

Also in the lobby is a Universal gift shop. It has everything from the Harry Potter interactive wands for Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade to Duff Beer tshirts. It has all of the essentials you need before going into the parks and the souvenirs you need before you go home.

5. Extra Time in the Parks

When you stay at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel, you get extra time in the parks.  During our trip you could enter Volcano Bay and Islands of Adventure early.  For Volcano Bay especially this is a huge perk because that place gets packed!  Like at capacity, no more people allowed through the gates packed.

Set your alarm and roll out of bed early to hit the ground running.  When you have great pictures of your little wizzards in Hogsmeade without huge crowds, the early wake up call will be worth it!

So those are 5 of our favorite things about Loews Sapphire Falls at Universal Orlando Resort.  If you have any questions leave them in the comments - we are happy to help you on your Universal Orlando adventure!

Disclosure:  This was not a sponsored trip however we did receive complimentary upgrades and perks along the way.  All opinions are honest and my own.
