We live in the suburbs of Chicago, which means if we go into the city, it will be Chicago. Over the years I have realized I can into Milwaukee easier and sometimes faster depending on the traffic! My favorite part of Milwaukee is that its much easier to park and a lot cheaper.

Last summer I was a bridesmaid in my friend Joy's wedding. She searched high and low for cute, casual and affordable bridesmaid dresses so her friends could actually wear the dress again. When she found eShakti she was thrilled. We all chose our favorite style of dress from the color and fabric she selected but we also were able to customize our neckline, sleeves, dress length and have the dress made to our specific heights. That's right, eShakti does semi custom dresses!
When BlogHer was coming up, Betsy and I knew we wanted to look and feel great for all of the parties and events. So we went to eShakti.com and picked out a few of our favorite dresses. For our first night out I wore a strapless chambray maxi that was as comfortable as it is cute! Being super tall, this is the first time I've ever had a maxi that has gone all the way to the ground. Because I was able to put in my height when I ordered, it was truly a perfect fit!
Betsy looked so cute for a night out in the city in her vintage inspired black and white dress. She removed the pockets and shortened the length on her dress. The fit was great and everyone commented on how great she looked all night long!
For our last night of the conference, we attended an advance screening of Delivery Man, a Vince Vaughn movie coming to theaters this November. The movie was fun and a cocktail party at Lucky Strike followed. Friends were loving my yellow and white cabana striped dress that was perfect for a night out in the summer.
Our biggest challenge when shopping on eShakti.com was figuring out which dresses to order. There were so many we loved and with the custom aspect, we knew each outfit would look great when it arrived. Here are some of our other eShakti looks!
Have you ordered from eShakti? What styes are you loving?
One of our favorite things about being bloggers is meeting amazing people! We were able to hang out with Trina from Baby Shopaholic quite a bit while we were in New York City for Blogher this past August. She is not only one of the most stylish moms I know but she is super fun and cool too! If you live in the Atlanta area join her this Saturday, November 3rd for a Mommy & Kid fashion show! We cannot be there in person but will be there in spirit! How cute will it be to see adorable kids rockin' the runway?! We know this is going to be one fabulous fashion show that you will not want to miss!

When I moved to the suburbs almost 6 years ago, I moved into a neighborhood that the women got together often for wine and a trunk show in their homes. It was a fun way for me to be introduced to new friends in a fun setting. One of the first trunks shows I attended was for CAbi clothing. It was the first time I had ever heard of CAbi Clothing. CAbi was created by Carol Anderson and is a direct sales fashion company. I have to tell you I was hooked right away. CAbi is on trend, stylish and classic. I purchased a pair of adorable cropped pants that over 5 years later, I still have in my closet and love!
Kristin and I are both big fans of CAbi. We were thrilled to be invited for an evening of fashion in the CAbi Style Suite by Mom Trends and Savvy Sassy Moms! The Style Suite was held in a gorgeous Penthouse Suite at the London Hotel. When we walked in we felt like we stepped into an episode of Gossip Girls!;) We had the opportunity to get an up close sneak peek of the CAbi fall collection! I love the versatility of CAbi clothing, it is perfect for a career woman but can also easily be incorporated into the wardrobe a stylish stay at home mom.
Kristin is wearing this Spring/Summer's maxi skirt as a strapless dress!
Each blogger that visited the Style Suite was treated to two of their favorite pieces from the CAbi fall line! I chose Shadow Sweater that I know I will be seen wearing often when the cold weather hits Chicago! The adorable Take Charge Jacket also made it home with me and I cannot wait to pair it with a pair of perfect color skinnies and heels for a night out! Kristin took home the awesome curry skirt and the Republic Blouse a classic white button down with a twist. I have to admit that I love my two new pieces but I have been dreaming of the Republic Blouse!
If you are not familiar with CAbi, you can host your own show! It is a perfect excuse to gather your girlfriends in your home for a night of fashion and fun! To locate a CAbi Consultant visit their site.
Disclosure: We were not not paid for this post. Kristin and I each received 2 CAbi items at the style suite. Our opinions are honest and our own.
Last week while we were in New York City for Blogher we had the chance to go "Back To School" with Lands' End and Mom Trends! There is something about riding a school bus that can quickly take you back to your childhood!
When we walked into Lands' End University, the mood was perfectly set for an evening of Back To School fun!
One of the biggest Back To School essentials for any school age kid is the perfect backpack. If you are not aware Lands' End has been specializing in their fabulous bags for years. My family has been traveling with Lands' End tote bags since I can remember! I received a Lands' End backpack when I graduated from high school in 1993 and I still have it and its in great condition. I was very impressed with the selection of backpacks Lands End has this year. I love that they have a my first backpack that comes with an ugly doll, perfect for the kids heading to pre-school!
Lands' End kids clothing for Back To School is on the top of my list for great pieces that will work with their everyday wardrobe! They have stylish pieces for both boys and girls that are great quality and at a price point that won't break the bank! A win for both mom and kids!
Have you started Back To School shopping for your kids? See how TLSF can help!
Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. After we passed Lands' End U, we were given a Lands' End Backpack, dress and lunchbox for completing our assignments!
