Not only are we getting ready to head back to school, we are also heading back to activities. I've mentioned my daughters are dancers, but they also love gymnastics.
Over the past few summers the girls have done gymnastics camp to work on tricks, coordination and balance. After each day, it's so fun to see how excited they are to tell me how they are SO CLOSE to getting a trick or the day they run out of the gym screaming "I did it!!!!!!"
Gymnastics is a really great activity for boys and girls of any age. Beyond just getting kids off the couch and moving, I have seen first hand how it can boost a child's confidence. My kids make friends at gymnastics and, if you want to take it to the competitive level, there is so much to be gained by having your child be part of a team.
My kids are not natural tumblers and have to work hard to get their tricks. But after watch my daughter nail her front handspring this year, I've never seen her more proud of herself!
City Club Gymnastics Academy offers classes for toddlers to competitive teams. They have camps, clinics, Parents Night Out and even host birthday parties! Open Gym is perfect for the cold weather months when your preschooler is bouncing off the walls.
