Every once in a while you get an email sprinkled with Pixie Dust that invites you to attend a Disney Social Media Moms Celebration event. The first time we received an email, Betsy and I had my little guy in tow.  Will was just a few weeks old and because he was so tiny, he came along for the ride and even got to meet Mickey.

Our next Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was at Disney World in 2016. It was the best time EVER and if we were ever lucky enough to be invited back, we would jump at it!

This time we were back in a Chicago for another Disney Social Media Moms on the Road. The event is part learning what’s new at Disney, part motivational and part educational. The social media space is constantly evolving and it’s up to us to stay ahead of the trends and be ready for the next big thing.

All of the speakers were fabulous but we wanted to share a few key things we learned at the mini conference.

“Great Things never came from comfort zones,” is my new favorite quote. It was part of lessons on great story telling. All too often we (the general we) stick with what works and are maybe too scared to try something new. This was just the reminder needed to take a leap and try something new. More coming on that soon!

Kristyn Merkley From Lil Luna blew our minds with her SEO talk. We are working on our web and are taking time behind the scenes to make sure The Little Style File is user friendly and giving helpful information to all of our readers.

Jeanette Kaplun from Hispana Global reminded us how not to lose our audiences. And we had a very interesting conversation on how chat bots and technology like Alexa are changing the future of our entire industry.

Connecting and networking with other social media moms is always so fun at this event.

But the best best part is being able to bring the Disney magic home. Thanks for having us, Disney! We hope to see you again soon!
