Fall is here. Maybe? It keeps bouncing back into the '80s no matter how hard we wish for crisper weather for bonfires and to wear our new sweaters.

One thing midwesterners know about Fall is that it's all about layers. Mornings might be cool but by the end of the day our temps can climb back up so layers are our #1 rule for the season.

The trend we are LOVING for Fall is florals. Usually florals remind you of pastels and spring but Fall florals are big this year and we are keeping them for a long time.

To keep your outfit from looking too spring like, chose pieces with a darker background. Not only does it make the outfit more Fall appropriate but it really makes the florals pop like in Betsy's top.

Adding a leather jacket makes the outfit great for chillier days or nights. The open toe bootie is perfect for our unpredictable temps!

Betsy's outfit: jacket, top, jeans, booties, necklace

I have loved midi dresses all summer and am carrying that into fall. Maybe the hottest color for fall is mustard.

This dress actually had a flutter sleeve that makes it very versatile for our first few weeks of Fall.  A classic denim jacket dresses this outfit down a little for a daytime, layered look.

I'm obsessed with perforated booties. They are so fun and have kept my feet cool while wearing my new fall looks. Because they are going to have a short life - no way can I wear them in the snow - I saved in these and just got them at Target.

Because of the large, bold print on the dress, I went with a delicate necklace and minimal jewelry.
