There’s no place more magical to celebrate the holidays than Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. To really experience all things holiday, you need to be in the middle of it all at night. When Red Roof Inn asked us to visit their new Red Collection property, The Saint Clair Hotel, located at Saint Clair and Ontario (162 E. Ontario), we jumped at the chance!
The Red Collection from Red Roof Inn is a simple, modern take on the hotel experience. With it’s AMAZING location in the heart Streeterville, the Saint Clair Hotel is the perfect spot to camp out for a staycation or even for a long stay.
The Magnificent Mile lights are gorgeous to experience in person. Michigan Avenue just turns into a magical place with great shopping, even more fun places like Dylan’s Candy Bar, the American Girl Store and the Lego Store.
Perhaps the most exciting part for these suburban kids is calling a cab and heading to the other side of town for extra holiday fun with their aunt and uncle.
After our fun night out in the city, we were able to come back to the Saint Clair Hotel and relax in TWO King beds. For our family of five this was heavenly.
We did some family snuggly and watched a holiday movie on the Hallmark Channel (our hotel got ALL the channels!) and then split into a kid bed and parent bed.
The beds were so comfortable and our room even had a sound machine. There were plenty of plugs to charge all of our devices over night. Everyone got a great night’s sleep and we were ready to tackle the day in the city before heading home.
The Red Collection’s Saint Clair Hotel will definitely be at the top of our list the next time we are planning to stay in the city. We were really impressed with the first property in the Red Collection and can’t wait to see where the next one will open!
Important hotel details: valet Parking is available for $58 per night with in and out privileges. The St. Clair Hotel’s 208 modern, amenity-filled rooms have been revitalized, renovated and upgraded. Guests can also expect a restaurant on premise in the future.
