#Blogher12 & What We Wore Part #1

A special thanks to Rue La La for providing our BlogHer 12 wardrobe!

Last Thursday Kristin and I said goodbye to our wonderful husbands and crazy kids and headed to New York City for Blogher! We were non stop from the moment we landed at JFK and had a fabulous time! We had unbelievable opportunities to connect with wonderful bloggers that we have only "met" online. We learned several important things while at Blogher! We learned that sometimes it takes flying to New York City to bond with fellow Chicago bloggers! I learned that I am blessed to have a wonderful blog partner/friend to travel with when things go wrong and you sit on an airplane for 7 hours!  We also connected with brands that we cannot wait to work with and share with you! Kristin and I feel inspired and cannot wait for the our 2nd year of TLSF! Kristin and I also learned that while we don't view ourselves as fashion bloggers we are more than we are not!

Thursday night we dressed up for a night of fashion, toys and fun in New York City!

Kristin and I in the Cabi Style Suite in the London Hotel! A great night of fashion and cocktails with some of our favorite bloggers! We enjoyed the view at the Viacom building while playing with the best toys at Sweet Suite!

We had the chance to hang with the super fab Trina of The Baby Shopaholic at Lipsticks and High Heels!

Friday we woke up ready to check out the Expo, attend sessions, listen to Keynote speaker Martha Stewart and head to more parties!

We met The Lorax which our kids were super excited about!

We enjoyed an afternoon break in the Hershey's Smore's suite!

Can you believe that was all in 24 hours? We packed in a lot of fun in a short amount of time! Kristin will be back later with part 2 of our Blogher adventure!

Rue La La in NYC #BlogHer12

Rue La La

As you may have heard, Betsy and I are thrilled to be attending BlogHer in New York this week!  Months ago when we began planning, after we shreiked about a {kid-free!} trip to NYC, the next thing out of our mouths was, "WHAT ARE WE GOING TO WEAR?!"

Thanks to our friends at Rue La La, we will be wearing our favorite designers and brands that we scored for a steal!  Here are a few of the looks I've had my eye on.  Can't share them all, you know we will have a big old picture post when we return!

Here are a 3 things you should know about shopping at Rue La La:

1.  Rue La La has the best designers and brands.  The best.  Men, women, children, housewares, vacations, toys - you name it and they have it.  They will even text you when the sales you are watching begin.  It's awesome and dangerous rolled into one.

2.  Stellar customer service.  I don't use the word stellar much so you know I mean business.  Above I mentioned texts when sales begin, Rue La La has a fab mobile app that can instantly put you in touch with your own concierge whenever you need it.  Also, if an order is cancelled - which has only happened to me once in four years - you get a credit and an apology.  Both are nice on their own but together?  It feels really good.

3.  Their shipping times don't lie.  On every item Rue La La sells, there is a shipping time frame.  Sometimes it is 1-3 days, other times 10-14 days.  I've had purchases arrive two days after an order was placed but if it says 10-14 days, they mean that, too.  I respect honesty.

What is your favorite flash sale purchase?

Business Cards by Minted #Blogher12

Its that time of year when Blog conferences are plentiful and everyone on twitter is talking about their business cards! Kristin and I are heading to New York City for Blogher (the largest blog conference with over 4,500 bloggers) in a week and half. We wanted our business cards to go with our brand, who we are as bloggers and of course match our logo. We both love Minted because they design modern paper goods that we adore! It was very hard to narrow down our favorite business cards and I am embarass to admit that it might of taken us a few weeks! We chose the Shauna Stripe business card because it allowed us to upload our logo for the front of the card and we were able to use a picture of the four TLSF kids on the back.

We love how our Minted business cards turned out!  No case needed, they come in their own little adorable box.
